The 17th edition of the National Student Competition "Ambassadors of Health" has begun. The aim of the competition is to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, focusing on the prevention of behavioral and health risk factors related to unhealthy eating, low physical activity, alcohol abuse and smoking.

The initiative is of the Ministry of Health (MoH) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science (MES), Ministry of Environment and Water (MESW), Ministry of Youth and Sports (MMS), Ministry of Culture (MC), National Center for Public Health and Analyses (NCPHA), State Agency for Child Protection (SACP), Regional Office of the World Health Organization in Bulgaria (ROSZOB) and Bulgarian Youth Red Cross (BLRC).

It can include classes or grades of students from 1st to 12th grade from all over the country, divided into three age categories: 1st-4th grade; 5th-7th grade and 8th-12th grade.
