In the period 28-30 March 2025, the most significant forum of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross was held - the National Assembly. Over 100 representatives of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross from all over the country gathered in the city of Burgas to take stock of the achievements, discuss the future of the youth organization and elect their new National Leadership. The forum was held in the Foros Hall of the International Congress Center and was organized with the kind hosting of the Regional Organization of the Bulgarian Red Cross - Burgas.

The meeting presented the report on the activities of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross and the Compliance Advisor for the last two years and an analysis of the implementation of the Organization's Development Strategy. The new plan for 2025 was also adopted, with attention being paid to the sustainability of volunteers and innovations in activities.

The event was attended by numerous guests, including: Acad. Hristo Grigorov - President of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Prof. Krasimir Gigov – Director General of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Dr. Slavita Dzhambazova – Deputy Director General of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Mr. Petar Mladenov – Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, representatives of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as a number of institutions and organizations at the local level. Special congratulatory addresses were also received from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. The Management of the Bulgarian Red Cross expressed congratulations and gratitude to the youth organization, to the work of all volunteers and employees, to the efforts made and the successes achieved.

During the event, eight projects were announced that won funding under the Bulgarian Red Cross Innovation and Good Practices Program for 2025. The Annual Awards of the Bulgarian Red Cross were also presented with winners in four of the main areas of activity, as follows:

• "Organizational Development" – Bulgarian Youth Red Cross - Plovdiv;

• "First Aid" – Bulgarian Youth Red Cross- Pleven;

• "Health Program" – Bulgarian Youth Red Cross – Ruse;

• "Active Inclusion in the Social Environment" – Bulgarian Youth Red Cross – Silistra.

Within the framework of the National Assembly, elections were held for a new National Leadership of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross for the term 2025–2027. Steli Dzhambazova (delegate from Yambol) was elected as Chairperson, Tatyana Valcheva (delegate from Shumen) as Deputy Chairperson, Ralitsa Tabakova (delegate from Ruse), Radosveta Uzunova (delegate from Yambol) and Georgi Yordanov (delegate from Targovishte) as members of the Executive Board, and Naya Dimitrova (delegate from Shumen) as Compliance Advisor.

The hosts from the Bulgarian Red Cross-Burgas ensured the smooth running of the event and offered a beautifully organized cultural program that provided the participants with the opportunity to get acquainted with some of the sights of the city of Burgas.

The event not only marked a key stage in the development of the organization, but also emphasized the role of the Bulgarian Red Cross as a leading youth structure for active youth participation and contribution to society.
