National meeting of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross 2024

In the period 29.03-31.03.2024. The National Assembly of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross was held - the organization's highest forum. The event was hosted by the Regional Organization of the Bulgarian Red Cross in Yambol. More than 90 volunteers and employees from all over the country took part in the forum.

The event was held at the "Georgi Bratanov" Youth Cultural Center. Special guests at the meeting were Mr. Stoicho Stoichev, Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Dr. Slavita Jambazova, Deputy Director General of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Dr. Antoineta Antonova, Chairman of the Regional Organization of the Bulgarian Red Cross-Yambol , Mr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Director of the "Legal" Directorate at the National Assembly of the BCH, Mr. Nikolay Kostadinov, Deputy Regional Governor of Yambol Region, Mr. Stancho Stavrev, Mayor of Tundzha Municipality, Mr. Vasil Alexandrov, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Yambol, Commissioner Georgi Kyuchukov, Head of the "Security Police" Department - OD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Yambol, ch. inspector Ivan Dinev, head of sector at the RD "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population", Dr. Radostina Kalcheva, director of the Regional Health Inspection - Yambol and Mr. Georgi Georgiev, head of the Regional Department of Education - Yambol.

Academic Hristo Grigorov, Ph.D., Chairman of the BCH, and Prof. Dr. Krasimir Gigov, General Director of the BCH, addressed the delegates with a congratulatory address. Dr. Slavita Jambazova congratulated the volunteers and employees of the organization and expressed her gratitude for the numerous activities, campaigns and initiatives carried out throughout the country during the year.

During the National Assembly, the report on the activities of the BMCHK was presented and adopted for the past year 2023, a plan for the activities of the BMCHK in 2024, as well as additions and changes to the Statute of the BMCHK. Within the framework of the National Assembly, a partial election was also held for a member of the Executive Board of the BMCHK, and Viktor Tsvetanov, a delegate from the BMCHK-Sofia, was elected to the position.

During the event, the approved project proposals were announced within the framework of Program for the development of innovations and good practices in priority activities of the BMCHK and Annual awards of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross for 2023 were presented. All 28 districts in the country received an individual certificate of recognition for an initiative carried out in the past year.
