BMRC shares JA PreventNCD messages for healthier living

The Bulgarian Youth Red Cross shares the JA PreventNCD information campaign, which draws attention to the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases and the importance of the environment for our health.

Small changes in everyday life can contribute to better health. However, healthy choices should not depend solely on personal efforts. The conditions in which we live, study, work and spend our free time play a significant role in making these choices easier and more accessible for everyone.

The campaign focuses on four main topics: balanced nutrition, physical activity, prevention of alcohol use and life without tobacco and nicotine. Through them, it emphasizes the need for joint efforts to create an environment that supports health and provides equal opportunities for a fulfilling life.

For the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross, young people's access to reliable information and support is an important part of building healthy habits. By sharing the campaign's messages, we encourage young people to take care of their own health and contribute to positive changes in their communities.

Useful information on the topics can be found tuk.

The campaign is part of the European initiative under the project "Joint Action for the Prevention of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases and Cancer".
