In the period 1.09-7.09, an Academy for volunteers of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross for 2024 was held. The event was held in the resort of Golden Sands, and more than 80 volunteers from all over the country took part in it.

For a week, the volunteers had the opportunity to acquire and upgrade their knowledge and skills in the modules "Leadership and teamwork", "Active inclusion in the social environment" and "Humanitarian education. All volunteers learned about the 'Protection, Equality and Inclusion' approach.

The Leadership and Teamwork group learned about topics related to different types of leadership, especially youth leadership, improving communication skills as well as leadership within the framework of BMCHK. 

The group Active inclusion in a social environment had the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills for working with children on all programs and methods of BMCHK, including Ecology and environmental protection. Volunteers had the opportunity to work on the topic "Critical Thinking and Digital and Media Literacy", which provided guidance to volunteers on how to deal with fake news and misinformation.

The Humanitarian Education group learned about topics related to the promotion of humanitarian values, dissemination of the humanitarian principles of the International Movement, as well as foundations of International Humanitarian Law.
