Working with children and young people in specialized institutions
With the support of many National Societies of the RC/RC and other charities / Swiss Red Cross, Foundation „Sylvie Vartan“ etc. / the BRCY organized the delivery of food, clothing and toys to various social institutions for children and young people . One of the important aspects of working with children from specialized institutions is the tradition to visit which is done by volunteers of BRCY - Ruse, Gabrovo, Dobrich and Pazardzhik in social institutions affiliated to the respective secretariats of the local BRC branches. The limited number of children in these institutions allows for effective communication and building personal relationships between children and volunteers, which favors better socialization of children and allows volunteers to gain experience in working with disadvantaged children.
